The Usual Sundays

Sunday. Though it may come as a day of nothing but relaxation and enjoyment for some, for others (by others I mean us IIT-coaching goers) it’s just another day. Waking up at the crack of dawn, we get dressed half-asleep, amazingly we manage to get all the clothes in the right places, and try to gather our books. In vain, we waste about half hour trying to complete our homework. Finally deciding against it, we dash down and grab a bite of something for breakfast and while trying not to choke ourselves to death, we hop about on one foot and put on our shoes.
Heading out of our homes, we wonder what it would be like to get some sound sleep and try our level best not to get envious of those lucky people who are still dreaming away.
Entering class, we struggle to avoid a seat in the front, in case we drop off, and yet we try to sit next to some ‘brainy’-who can in some way resist the powerful sleep surge given out by the teachers- in hope that we can at least copy some notes. By the time we’re completely awake, we realize that we have missed out on too much to understand anything and either drop off again or keep checking our watches once every 2 seconds positive that time has slowed down.
Around 6 P.M., when all our classes manage to get over and after the much heated debates about who gets to borrow whose books we head home. All that sleep has replenished our energy and we get down to doing something useful like listening to music, reading a book or magazine or just catching up on the news we missed out. But some part of us still conscious that Monday morn isn’t far off.
